The fishing out of the Sheboygan harbor has been incredible! The kings are some of the biggest we've seen in awhile! By the end of the year we could be seeing up to 30 lb kings in the cooler! It's been a couple of crazy days! The fishing was outstanding earlier this week! The walleyes were just everywhere. We released over 50 walleyes earlier in the week, and now they are biting just not as much; we are hoping for another run at the walleyes! We even had a couple guys learn how to run the show! They did great!
Wow has the fishing been great! Between kohos and rainbows and walleye and bluegills, we have been nailing the fish! The fishing out of Sheboygan has been the greatest we've seen all year!! We have been getting limits almost every time we go out. It's incredible! The walleye have been biting as well up in the bay! The weather is finally warming up and getting to be officially summer! Well it's that time of year again, our favorite time of year!!! Boats are going in the water, turkey tags are getting filled, and the fishing is outstanding!!! Walleyes on the bay of Green Bay have been on a hot bite both jigging vibration baits and trolling cranks. The brown trout bite has been good as well trolling lead core with spoons and flat line crank baits. The turkeys have been responding to the call well and with 6 birds on the ground for us this year it has been very successful! The avian-x quarter strut Jake and a hen has given us the best success. Looking for a recipe for pickling northerns? This has always been a hit in our family!
1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
2 tbs sugar
1/2 teaspoon allspice
Be sure to make enough liquid to cover the fish!
Boil the liquid and add the fish. Boil the fish for about 4-5 minutes. After it boils put thin slices of fish on top and remove after 4 minutes. Slice onions and put into the jar along with the fish. Top it off with the liquid and seal the jar. Let it sit in the fridge for atleast 3 weeks and then enjoy!
The Youth Turkey Hunt this year has been successful! We have gotten multiple birds this year already, and it's not over! What a great time to get the kids out and to have them be able to get one themselves instead of watching!
